This hidden gem in Edgewater is just West of Sloans Lake. It is a great place to relax, hang out, and enjoy good food (sweet potato french fries are a must). There's one pool table and a small but decent patio. Don't let it being across the street from the Po-Po intimidate you.

If you go at the right time, this place is great. Sloan's has a nice Happy Hour from 2-6pm featuring 2 for 1 PBR's, $1 off of drafts and cocktails. They also feature a nice, moderately priced menu with a good brunch on Sundays. Brunch is highlighted by a $3 Bloody Mary bar that is exceptional, along with mismosas for a buck. Service is decent, the atmosphere is good. Sloans's isn't centrally located out in Edgewater, but if you live nearby or you are in the area stop by and check it out.
Great burgers and yes the fish 'n chips is delicious. This is one reason we moved to Edgewater: that we fell in love with Sloan's. I'd like to see them up the variety though. Maybe a rotating beer tap and some more food specials/variety. Good solid local pub though. Nice to have it walking distance away too.
Awesome place great food and service. Seems that they have something different going on every night. I love the Saturday and Sunday brunch and build your own Bloody Mary Bar.
Nice bar, great service, Tavern Fish and Chips rock. I like the tokens on the 2 for 1 drinks. Waking up and looking at a pile of tokens on your nightstand makes you smile, a great way to start your next good buzz is for FREE!
Great place. Good Food, try the fried pickles! There's a hot waitress that looks a bit like Lana Lane from Smallville.
